The first and last time I would work with my mother on a project.  She was amazing and the dance she performed left me in tears and I was so thankful to have been able to capture this.  Three months after this was shot my mother passed away.

My sister's counter point to the image I capture of our mother.  Her youthful bravado on show as the generational differences between the two dances are on the surface obvious but at a deeper level almost non-existent.  Both seek to express and both are powered by strong female energy that will teach you as much about yourself as it does about them.

Crossing on Palmers Road.

One of three images based around my love of shooting landscapes at night.  I have shot nocturnal landscapes in the past but I haven't exhibited many colour prints of this type of work so these are the first of my colour series.  Taken at 2 am in the morning these beacons of light and safety are a calming oasis at a time when sounds are sharper and shadows darker.

They were shown at the Kings College Art Sale in 2014.

Shot at Puhinui cemetery and exhibited at the Otara Cube in January 2016.

Looking at how we as Pacific Islanders view death, for this part the notion that death is not the end but the start of another journey and with this cemetery in particular - a gateway to the next part of spiritual voyage.
